Prior to founding her firm, she built a strong foundation in several industries including Financial Technology (FinTech) & Procurement, serving as a Senior Analyst for (Dropbox, Whole Foods Market & Meta) in Austin, Texas.
Kayla began her academic journey at Southern Arkansas University, where she earned a basketball scholarship and distinguished herself as a dedicated student-athlete while studying Criminal Justice with a concentration in Legal Studies. She later transferred to University of Arkansas at Little Rock, earning her Bachelor of Arts degree before launching her professional career as a Paralegal at Mitchell Williams Law Firm.
Her career path has spanned multiple regions, including Dallas, Atlanta and Syracuse, reflecting both adaptability and strategic growth. It was during her work in community-centered roles that she was introduced to grant writing—an experience that deepened her commitment to business optimization and community impact. As Director of Career Development and Outreach at the Women’s Opportunity Center, she became known as a connector and influential leader dedicated to expanding access and opportunity.
